Enhancing regional tourism, Eswatini Tourism and KwaZulu Natal Tourism & Film have formalized their partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
This landmark agreement aims to bolster cross-destination marketing, improve accessibility between Durban and Eswatini, celebrate shared cultural heritage, and leverage major events to stimulate regional growth.
The signing took place at the Durban International Convention Centre during the recently concluded Africa’s Travel Indaba, a premier event in the tourism calendar.
The MoU between Eswatini and KwaZulu Natal Tourism & Film is expected to pave the way for collaborative marketing initiatives that highlight the unique attractions of both regions.

By improving accessibility between Durban and Eswatini, the partnership aims to encourage more tourists to explore the rich offerings of both destinations. This collaboration will not only enhance the travel experience but also contribute to the economic growth of both regions, creating jobs and opportunities for local communities.
Africa’s Travel Indaba attracted a host of dignitaries, including the Acting Minister of Tourism and Environmental Affairs of Eswatini, Skhumbuzo Dlamini, and the CEO of the Eswatini Tourism Authority (ETA), Vusie Dlamini.
They were joined by a distinguished lineup of speakers, including Deputy President Honourable Paul Mashatile, South Africa’s Minister of Tourism, Patricia De Lille, and the Premier of KwaZulu-Natal Province, Thami Ntuli.

The gathering also featured the CEO of South African Tourism, Nombulelo Guliwe, along with numerous tourism officials and stakeholders from across the continent, all united by a shared vision for the future of African tourism.
The Kingdom of Eswatini, known for its breathtaking landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and warm Swazi hospitality, has positioned itself as a must-visit destination for travellers seeking adventure, relaxation, and cultural immersion.
The Eswatini Tourism Authority, in collaboration with various local hospitality and tourism stakeholders, showcased the kingdom’s unique offerings to a global audience at the Indaba.
Reflecting on last year’s participation, the Kingdom of Eswatini generated significant interest from travel agents, tour operators, and media representatives worldwide.
The Eswatini stand became a hub of activity, where visitors experienced the warmth of Swazi hospitality through informative presentations and interactive displays.
