Ramblas and Lihawu Restaurants are simply the best! The two restaurants have put Eswatini on the map after they were decorated for being the best in Eswatini at the 3rd World Culinary Awards.
The two eateries won Best Eswatini Restaurant 2022 and Best Eswatini Hotel Restaurant 2022 during the awards reception which was held in Dubai on December 13. According to their website, the World Culinary Awards serve to celebrate and reward excellence in the culinary industry through our annual awards programme.
World Culinary Awards is the sister event to World Travel Awards, currently celebrating its 29th anniversary. It was stated that the 2022 winners were truly outstanding achievers and leaders in their respective fields, who had risen above the competition to lift the 3rd annual World Culinary Awards trophy.
The website further stated that this year’s edition of the World Culinary Awards proved a global gathering of the culinary industry, with pioneers, influencers, and leading figureheads travelling from across the world attending the prize-giving evening at ONZE, Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club.
The results follow a year-long search for the world’s leading culinary brands. Votes were cast by culinary industry professionals and the general public, with the nominee gaining the most votes in a category named the winner.
In the Best Eswatini Restaurant, other nominees were Adega Restaurant and Malandela’s Restaurant. Other nominees in the Best Eswatini Hotel Restaurant category were Sibane Restaurant at Sibane Sami Hotel and The Restaurant at Foresters Arms Hotel.
Rina van Staden, Director of World Culinary Awards, is reported to have said: “Our World Culinary Awards 2022 winners represent those brands pushing the boundaries of culinary excellence. My congratulations to each of them.”
Receiving a World Culinary Award is a world-class achievement that the winner with the ideal marketing tool to promote their award-winning products and services ahead of their competitors.
