Eswatini 2025/26 budget increases by 11% to E32.61 billion

Minister of Finance in Eswatini, Neal Rijkenberg, presented a landmark budget for the 2025/26 financial year, amounting to a substantial E32.61 billion, marking a significant increase from the E29.4 billion allocated for the previous fiscal year.

The Minister assured Parliament that this budget is fully financed, affirming the government’s commitment to continuing its path of economic growth and fiscal discipline.

The budget presented on February 14, 2025, reflects an enhanced focus on financing both water and sanitation infrastructure, social services, and investments in economic development.

The allocation represents an increase of approximately 11 per cent from the previous year’s budget, underscoring the government’s drive to address the needs of the country’s growing population and stimulate investment in key sectors.
