Four talented artists from the Eswatini have officially signed a record deal with the South African label True Classic Entertainment.
M Nation, DJ Citie, Histo, and Cool Drop are poised to embark on an exhilarating new chapter in their careers, a move that promises to catapult them into the limelight of the competitive entertainment industry.
The artists have entered into a lucrative agreement that sees them benefiting from a remarkable 75% of earnings from their performances, with True Classic Entertainment taking a modest 25%.
This arrangement has been confirmed by one of the signed artists, M Nation, who emphasized the significance of this deal in a landscape often fraught with financial uncertainty.
One of the most appealing aspects of this contract is the financial structure designed to alleviate the stress that often accompanies an artist’s career. “With or without a show, we will have a monthly salary,” M Nation explained, underscoring the stability that this partnership affords them.

“Then, when there’s a show, True Classic only takes 25%, the rest is ours.” This model not only provides a steady income but also empowers the artists by allowing them to retain most of their earnings—a rarity in the entertainment world, where artists frequently find themselves at the mercy of less favorable contracts.
In a recent interview, an effervescent M Nation conveyed his excitement and gratitude for this golden opportunity. “We are so happy and grateful to be signed under True Classic,” he said.
For these four artists, this partnership marks a pivotal moment, as they anticipate the support and resources that True Classic will provide to help them further develop their brands.

M Nation elaborated on the immediate impact of the deal, revealing, “True Classic has already started helping us further our brands as we speak. Our dress code sense has completely changed.”
This transformation is a testament to the label’s commitment to enhancing the artists’ public image and overall marketability—an essential component of success in the music industry.
The signed contract spans two years, a period during which M Nation, DJ Citie, Histo, and Cool Drop hope to build their brands and expand their reach. M Nation emphasized the importance of international partnerships in boosting and branding artists, particularly in a region where local musicians face numerous challenges.
“Since we all know that the entertainment industry in Eswatini is not as good as it looks,” he commented, shedding light on the complexities of their environment. He acknowledged the need for support and collaboration to thrive in an increasingly competitive landscape.
Expressing deep gratitude, the artists took a moment to acknowledge True Classic and its CEO, Mr. Siyabonga Nkosi. “We would like to thank Mr. Siyabonga Nkosi for taking such a risk and believing in us as upcoming artists,” M Nation added.

“It’s difficult to find someone who would come and want to invest in a brand that is still trying to grow like us. Investors out there always want to invest in bigger brands, not upcoming ones,” he concluded, shedding light on the uphill battle many artists face in securing the support they need.
