Former Manzini Wanderers striker Njabulo ‘Koko’ Gama has found a new home at Mbabane Highlanders. The former Ezulwini United player is set to sign a six-month contract with the capital city giants.

The player left the hub giants at the end of last season after failing to agree on contractual terms with the ‘ Weslians’. He has been training with the ‘Black Bull’ in the last two weeks.

An informed source at Highlanders confided to the Eswatini Financial Times that the former Ezulwini United winger will be sorting his clearance documents with his former club, Manzini Wanderers as early as Monday. “He has been busy with the secondary national elections where he is working at the moment and couldn’t submit the letter Wanderers has requested to release his clearance.

That is the only thing missing right now, otherwise, he would have been available for the game against Rangers on Sunday. He is likely to be available against Tinyosi on Wednesday,” the source said. Highlanders Public Relations Officer (PRO) Kenneth Dlamini could only confirm that Gama is training with the club.
“He has not signed yet. He is training with us, and he is still sorting out his papers with Wanderers and then we will take it from there. Otherwise, it’s true, he has been training with us for some time now,” Dlamini said.

He said that they hope to conclude the player’s deal at the start of the new week.“Apparently Wanderers have asked him to write a letter requesting his papers and we are hoping he can be available for our midweek if all goes well,” Dlamini added. Gama will join the list of the ‘Black Bull’ new signings such as Emmanuel Ansuah, Matamela Ndou and Noko Molekwane.
