Job opportunities and improved socioeconomic life are what most Siphofaneni Inkhundla folks who cast their votes on Friday are hoping for from the upcoming government.
EmaSwati pleaded for better job opportunities from whosoever wins the elections. In an interview with Nomathemba Tsabedze from Siphofaneni, she said one of the reasons she elected her favourite candidate was because she believes he will make a positive impact as much as job opportunities are concerned.
“Whosoever wins the elections should address our hardships as the people of Siphofaneni,” she said. Tsabedze went on to say that the community of Siphofaneni are going through a lot of problems including hunger. She went on to say that several Siphofaneni residents are poverty-stricken to such an extent that they are even struggling to raise their children, hence she hopes the eventual winner will come with job-creation solutions.

Another voter who elected to comment on the condition of anonymity said she wishes that the next MP help her build a proper house because currently faces a lot of problems during the rainy season because her roofing is leaking.
The candidates contesting under Siphofaneni are Moshoeshoe Nkambule, Nomalungelo Simelane, Nhlanhla Simelane, Vusumuzi Mkhumane and Doctor Shongwe among others. Interestingly, Nkambule took an early lead over Simelane at the special voting, garnering 102 votes, 42 more than LaZwide.
