State Owned Entities (SOEs) continue to plough back into the economy by awarding tenders to local companies for different services.
The first week of March has seen a disbursement of over E4.7 million respectively in tenders by three SOEs.
This is according to the Eswatini Public Procurement Regulatory Agency (ESPPRA) website. The tenders have been awarded following Section 45 (3) (b) of the Public Procurement Act No 7 of 2011, following a competitive bidding process.
The entities
The entities are Eswatini Energy Regulatory Authority (ESERA), Construction Industry Council, and Eswatini Water and Agricultural Development (ESWADE).

ESWADE awarded the highest amount of tender worth E4.09 million for the construction of a fresh produce packhouse under the Matsenjwa Chiefdom. The tender was awarded to ICON Construction which beat 11 others that were competing for the tender.
Meanwhile, ESERA awarded Thabiso Nsibandze a tender valued at E585 000 for individual consultancy services for environmental and social impact safeguarding. He was competing with two other individuals.

Lastly, CIC awarded KQ Consulting which was competing with one company for the provision of recruitment agency services. The tender was worth E42 750.
