The Embassy of the United States of America in Eswatini has announced the commencement of the competition for the 2025-2026 Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship, inviting prospective candidates to apply for this esteemed opportunity.
The Humphrey Fellowship Program, known for bringing accomplished mid-level professionals from around the world to the United States for a year of study and professional development, is now open for applications.
The Humphrey Fellowship is a non-degree program designed to empower individuals with exceptional academic and professional qualifications, coupled with a strong commitment to public service.

The fellowship offers a transformative experience for individuals seeking to expand their knowledge, skills, and networks in specific fields of study.
Fellowships are awarded competitively in the following fields:
- Public Policy and Administration
- Economic Development
- Law and Human Rights
- Educational Administration, Planning, and Policy
- Agricultural and Rural Development
- Natural Resources, Environmental Policy, and Climate Change
- Public Health Policy and Management.
The Embassy asserted that prospective candidates must be citizens of Eswatini aged between 30 and 50 years. They should hold an undergraduate degree, equivalent to four years of university education, and possess a minimum of five years of substantial professional experience, which will demonstrate leadership and proficiency in English.
To provide further insight and guidance to interested applicants, the U.S. Embassy is hosting two information sessions. The first session will take place on Tuesday, May 14, at Endibanweni, 2nd floor Mbabane Public Library, starting at 1:00 PM. The second session will be conducted virtually on Wednesday, May 15, via Zoom, commencing at 5:30 PM.

The Embassy has encouraged prospective candidates to RSVP via email to MartinsSC@state.gov so that they can secure their attendance at the information sessions and receive additional details about the application process.
