Talented DJ Obsession has secured a monthly residency at Ligwalagwala FM for September.
This marks a significant milestone in his career. Obsession confirmed the residency. Starting this Friday, September 6, Obsession will take to the airwaves every Friday from 3 pm to 5 pm, playing live on Ligwalagwala FM, also accessible via DStv channel 807.
The opportunity to showcase his craft on such a prominent platform is a dream come true for the DJ, who has long admired residency to a radio station.
Ligwalagwala FM is a South African national radio station based in Mbombela, South Africa. In an exclusive interview, Obsession expressed his gratitude and excitement for this new venture.

“I feel honoured to be a resident DJ for this radio station, growing up listening to Ligwalagwala FM. I am thankful for the opportunity to grow my brand and to represent Emaswati beyond borders,” he shared.
With a listener base of over 1.3 million, Ligwalagwala FM provides an expansive platform for Obsession to connect with audiences both locally and internationally.
“This residency will help me reach a larger audience, especially to the outside world. It will also help me explore other spaces in the entertainment scene, especially the radio audience, which I am not used to,” he explained.
Listeners can expect a dynamic blend of sounds during their residency, as Obsession plans to deliver the best of Afro-house and three-step Afro-house music.
“I’ll be giving the listeners a taste of what the Eswatini music space is all about. I am looking forward to sharing the latest Afro house and three-step projects by Eswatini producers,” he stated enthusiastically.

Obsession encouraged fans and music lovers alike to tune in every Friday on Ligwalagwala FM, channel 807 on DStv. “Please do tune in every Friday, as I will be representing Eswatini at large,” he concluded.
