Inyatsi Foundation has taken a compassionate and impactful step in supporting emaSwati struggling with the devastating aftermath of recent natural disasters by donating food parcels, blankets, and mattresses valued at E100 000 to the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office.
These much-needed items, set to be distributed through the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA), come at a time when families across the country are struggling to recover from the severe effects of floods and storms that have left homes destroyed and lives uprooted.
Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla, who received the donation, expressed deep gratitude to the Inyatsi Foundation for extending a helping hand during this critical period.

In her remarks, she highlighted the widespread impact of the torrential rains, emphasizing the growing urgency of addressing the needs of affected individuals and families.
“The torrential rains happening throughout the country are continuously affecting emaSwati. Houses are collapsing, families are being displaced, and hunger is surging.
The government is actively working towards addressing these social, economic, and financial ills that have manifested as a result. Despite all efforts, the rate at which the need is growing requires all emaSwati to come together and assist the government,” she stated.
Dladla expressed the importance of collaboration in disaster preparedness and recovery efforts, pointing to the multi-sectoral and multi-stakeholder approach required to build resilience across the country.
“We are gathered to witness fostered partnerships developed over time in support of disaster preparedness and recovery efforts. Disaster resilience building throughout the country is a national target that can only be achieved through a multi-sectoral and multi-stakeholder approach.
There are various key stakeholders that have been seen eagerly assisting the government during these torrential rains, such as churches, government ministries, and individuals,” she said.
The Deputy Prime Minister also highlighted the critical role played by private sector stakeholders like Inyatsi Holding Group in complementing government efforts to address the immediate and pressing needs of affected communities.
“Today, we have Inyatsi Holding Group who, when they heard of the devastation emaSwati are undergoing and the challenges government is facing, called the DPM Office seeking to lend a hand.
Disaster impact leaves the vulnerable liSwati destitute. The already existing areas of support are magnified when a disastrous event strikes. The need for food, shelter, and clothing becomes immediate.
The DPMO is forever grateful for the helping hand that is being extended by Inyatsi Holding Group,” Dladla added.
The sentiments of solidarity were echoed by Inyatsi Group Holdings Marketing and Public Relations Manager, Ncobile Dlamini, who emphasized the company’s dedication to supporting the communities it serves.
