In a resounding call for unity and dedication, Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini closed the Eswatini Local Government Conference at Esibayeni Lodge on Thursday, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts to create a prosperous nation for all Emaswati.
The conference, which began on Wednesday morning, was organized in partnership with the Ministry of Tinkhundla Administration and Development and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.

During his closing remarks, Dlamini who was represented by Minister of Education and Training Owen Dlamino, lauded the brave initiative of the conference, highlighting its importance for the future governance of Eswatini.
“The success of this conference will be evident when the Bill is tabled in Parliament within the shortest turnaround time,” he stated, urging participants to maintain their commitment to the resolutions made throughout the discussions.
The Prime Minister encouraged the officials working behind the Cabinet subcommittee to leverage the momentum generated during the conference, stressing the significance of collaboration and shared vision in the efforts to improve the lives of all citizens.

“We must now translate the insights gained and the resolutions adopted into concrete actions that will benefit all Emaswati. Let us work together to create a prosperous and stable society, where the gains of one group are not at the expense of another,” he remarked.
He addressed a diverse audience, including Royal Highnesses, Cabinet Ministers, the President of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Councillors, Chiefs, esteemed experts, and distinguished participants.
Prime Minister Dlamini inspired those present to depart with a renewed sense of purpose, urging them to continue building a stronger, more unified Eswatini, “one community at a time.”
As the conference concluded, he reiterated, “The journey has just begun, and I have every confidence that together, we will achieve our goals.” Attendees were reminded of their shared responsibility to implement the strategies discussed and ensure that every corner of Eswatini benefits from the collective insights.

Dlamini concluded his remarks with a heartfelt wish for safe travels home, leaving participants with an invigorated sense of hope and determination for the future of local governance in Eswatini.
