Siphofaneni has welcomed a major investment as Embiveni officially launched its first mini meat market in the Lubombo region, an expansion worth over E2 million.
The project has already created 10 direct jobs, with additional employment opportunities expected as demand grows. Hundreds of residents flocked to the newly opened store to purchase quality meat products at affordable prices, marking a strong start for the company’s latest expansion.

Managing Director of Embiveni, Phindile Matsebula, emphasized that this new outlet is part of a vast national expansion strategy. “The demand is high, which is why we decided to open in Siphofaneni. Customers have already asked us to expand the space to accommodate more shoppers,” she said.

Expansion drives Embiveni’s growth
The Siphofaneni mini market is the fourth Embiveni store to be opened under the company’s new leadership, following successful launches in Matsapha, Mbabane, and Nhlangano. Matsebula explained that expansion has been a direct response to the overwhelming demand for affordable and high-quality meat products across Eswatini.
“We have seen a clear demand from our customers in different regions, and it is our responsibility to bring quality meat closer to them,” she said. With future expansion plans already in the pipeline, Embiveni aims to ensure that more communities benefit from its services.

She said that by strategically opening stores outside major cities, the company is making shopping more accessible and reducing travel costs for consumers.
atsebula highlighted that before this expansion, consumers in Lubombo and surrounding areas had to travel long distances to buy meat, with the closest Embiveni store previously being in Matsapha.
“We want to bring convenience to our customers, and Siphofaneni is just the beginning of many more locations to come,” she added.
